With over 20 years of experience as a PA, field clinical engineer, and medical researcher, she is dedicated to informing, treating, and advocating for patients diagnosed with breast implant illness (BII) and other implantable device-related issues. Danielle has developed the Health Optimize Pre/Post Explant (H.O.P.E.) program, designed to aid in symptom resolution for individuals experiencing breast implant illness.

Terri Diaz

Teresa "Terri" Diaz, serves as the co-founder of GPAC Global Patient Advocacy Coalition, the Facilitator of BIHS Breast Implant Health Summit, a Special Government Employee of the CDRH Patient Engagement Advisory Committee at the FDA, and the Founder and Administrator of the Breast Implant Illness Florida Support Group. Terri's journey into patient safety advocacy and the promotion of informed consent was prompted by her 10-year health struggle due to adverse reactions to a medical implant (breast implants) in 2006.

MISSION STATEMENT

Our mission is to recognize the global impact of breast implants and their profound effects on health, reaching individuals worldwide. With over 10 million women estimated to require health navigation due to breast implants, providing unbiased education to healthcare practitioners and their patients is imperative.

New FDA guidelines and informed consent mandates have highlighted the critical need to disseminate essential information to both patients and practitioners. Unfortunately, millions of women with implants remain unaware of the necessity for ongoing health monitoring and surveillance. We aim to address this gap by delivering comprehensive education and raising awareness, empowering individuals to make informed decisions about their health and the management of their implants. As healthcare providers, it is our responsibility to educate and empower this population for their well-being.

Our symposium aims to empower practitioners from every discipline to contribute their expertise and establish care standards for those with implantable devices. Join us to learn, collaborate, and support this community in creating a healthier future together.

Danielle Valoras and Terri Diaz bring a formidable blend of expertise and firsthand experience to the realm of health education and advocacy. Together, they offer a wealth of knowledge and a shared dedication to providing individuals with comprehensive resources and evidence-based insights. Their aim is to foster a more informed and supportive healthcare environment, empowering individuals to navigate complex health issues with confidence and clarity. As a collaborative team, Danielle and Terri serve as a valuable educational resource, driven by a genuine commitment to improving the well-being of others.
